[Guide] How To Fix Recent Key On All MediaTek Device

Hello Guys, I'm Showing To You How To Fix Recent Key On All Android Device. Many People Facing Recent Key Bugs issue So I Make This Guide For This People.

How To Fix Recent Key

This Porting Guide For Rom Developers Only & This Porting Guide Working Perfectly.

Requirement Tools :
1. Winrar/7-zip
2. Notepad++
3. Stock Rom
4. Flashable Custom Rom
5. ApkTool

How To Fix Recent Key :
#Method 01 :
Step 01 : Extract Your Stock Rom & Go To system/usr/keylayout Folder Under. Now Open "Generic.kl" File Using Notepad++

Step 02 : Open Custom Rom "Generic.kl" File Using Notepad++ Same as Stock Rom.

Step 03 : Search "APP_SWITCH" Value & Compare With Stock To Port Generic.kl File Value (Note : Like 187 or 580).

If You Don't Find This Code From Stock File Then Change Key Code
- 187 To 580 or
- 580 To 187

Step 04 : Now Save This Editing File Make Zip File & Flash it or If You Already Install Rom Then Open This File Using Root Explorer Compare, Edit, Save & Restart Your Device.

#Method 02 :
If this still not working then If this still not work then here is detailed method if your recent key is on Long press on Home.

Do all things in Method #1 then follow this step:

Step 01 : Decompile "framework-res.apk" Using ApkTool

Step 02 : Now open res/values/integers.xml with notepad++

Find this line :

<integer name="config_longPressOnHomeBehavior">2</integer>

change the value 0 or 2 to 1 like this :

<integer name="config_longPressOnHomeBehavior">1</integer>

Step 03 : Now save your file & Recompile "framework-res.apk" Using ApkTool.

Step 04 : Sing this apk & make flashable zip & flash it using twrp or philz recovery.

I hope this method would fix your Recent Key on any rom. have fun!
